Name: Victoria
Age: 9
Sex: F
Species/Planet of Origin: Human / Earth
Personality: A friendly girl by nature, Victoria isn’t the kind to judge others on sight, if at all. Part of this comes from her own interest in all things weird; where others might shun anything outside the normal, Victoria sees weird as good, and will tend to embrace it willingly; as long as it isn’t posing a threat. She has called herself even weirder than Lilo on at least one occasion, and isn’t ashamed to be seen as such. Too, she’s a compassionate individual; for one example, once she accepted that Snooty wasn’t out to suck her blood, she was quick to warm to him and offer him a home. She is, however, not a vastly brave individual when it comes to real danger.
Home: Kauai
Occupation: N/A
Past: For the first part of her life, Victoria grew up in mainland America. Her life was a fairly average one, for the most part; but while she wasn’t an adventurous girl, Victoria found average to be a little boring. She developed a pursuit of weird stuff from a young age. Weird was interesting – her particular pride was her collection of potato chips shaped like celebrities from the 1970s – and while this view led her classmates to regard her as a bit odd herself, Victoria didn’t mind. She liked being the weird girl, didn’t try very hard to hide it. She might take the occasional jibe for it; but that was the worst her classmates could do, right?
Victoria entered Lilo’s world of aliens and experiments when she was about seven or eight. Her family was moving to Kauai, Hawaii – for a change of scenery and a calmer environment, among other reasons – and Victoria embraced the prospect. She’d had a few friends back home, of course, but no-one that she’d especially bonded with. Maybe that would change? She didn’t know, but she was willing to try.
And indeed, it did change; the first girl her own age who Victoria met was Lilo. The two hit it off well right from the start, when Lilo’s dog – who had drunk all the special lemonade she was selling – turned the two girls’ mutual favourite colour. And when Lilo threw a party to welcome her? Even though the theme – ‘Lilo’s Not Weird’? – sounded strange to Victoria, the girl was happy to be invited. And even when things did become distinctly weird? That just made Victoria even more convinced that Lilo was the girl she wanted to befriend.
After all, Myrtle and the others from their hula class, who denounced Lilo as soon as things got strange? That was their loss, not hers.
Coming back later, Victoria did indeed strike up a friendship with Lilo, the two girls enjoying each other’s company in a way that was new to both of them. Victoria even, eventually, came to give one of Uncle Jumba’s alien experiments its one true place with her; even if she had attempted to slay Snooty as a vampire first, Victoria soon became very attached to the little bat-like alien.
Most recently, Victoria and Lilo attended a hula conference in Honolulu. Though Victoria couldn’t help but feel it must not compare to space, where Lilo had been recently (!), the girls had an amazing time, just the two of them. Upon returning home, however, Lilo was quick to pick up that something was up with the experiments, so Victoria hurried home to make sure Snooty was okay too.
