(April 15, a thread for when Page was recruited. Any already established Naughties are welcome.)
Trees stood sentinel whilst nestled deep within the wilds, basking in the fierce Hawaiian sunlight that threatened to pierce downwards. Their canopies proved too sparse causing bold shafts of light to skewer deep. A kind of warmth circulated below, stirring restless fronds and radiating for the life that dwelled there. Many hues of flowers dotted the vast expanse of jade, much like the canvas of a painting, the colors smeared together to manifest a beautiful sight. Sandy paws barely bent the arching blades of vegetation in its travel, squat limbs walked with subtle elegance signature to the bearer.
Eyes like orbs of jade reflected the very pigment around her, glittering so strongly like a jewel in sunlight. They searched intently, the vibrant gaze registering the many things adjacent. Slender arms curved towards her dense chest, spooning into one another as she focused intently of her scrutiny. Within the crook of her arms remained a basket with many delicately chosen flowers nesting in the depths. Doe-like ears angled to and fro; although keen she was a bit absorbed into her thoughts to accurately realize if anyone was around.
A nose like a drop of cocoa wiggled in effort, inhaling the sweet aroma of flowers and the earthy musk of the other vegetation. In response to her sniffs, her tail flicked almost like that of a cat observing something it was hunting. Wings arched before offering a faint flap, the gesture so subtle yet strong as it began to elevate her body. Feathers trembled with each movement, causing her to hover along with a certain magical presence to her. Page had been probing the forest for any wild grown flowers that the kids back at the orphanage would enjoy. She intended to gather many to share with the other humans at different locations but the kids specifically had wanted something of the sorts.
Glinting green eyes fell upon a beautiful hibiscus, her flight lowering her instinctually and she transferred main hold of the basket to her other arm. Craning downwards she extended her slender appendage to apply the gentles of pressure to the stem, claws pinching into a sort of guillotine to free the stalk from the earth’s hold. The moment she attempted to lift it a ruby hued ladybug hobbled into sight, taking residents atop her finger with ignorant innocence. Page inhaled sharply and snatched her hand back, flinging the poor insect off into the bushes something. Flailing backwards, her wings jerked to also gain space from the original. Once the fox looking experiment composed herself she was left to stew from her irrational fear.
Finally her senses sharpened, concentration upon the flowers was severed and her keen detectors were once again returned. The uneasy sensation of someone else being there elicited a response from her fur and feathery spine, the pelt spiking up in anxious spurs.
“Who’s there?” she asked a bit politely, words weren’t spoken with the usual accent of her king but it held fluent articulation.
