Name: Splodyhead (619)
Years Active: Roughly 2 Years.
Sex: Male
Primary Function: To cause massive chaos and damage using fiery plasma blasts; "plasma fire shooter."
Abilities:
In addition to standard Experiment abilities (i.e. climbing walls, seeing in the dark, extra limbs, eating almost anything) Splodyhead is strategic and an expert marksman. His main ability is to blast high-impact plasma balls and plasmoid flame from his nose. He can control the intensity, heat, and even shape/size of the fire. He can use it in a steady stream, short blasts, or repetitive shots like a machine-gun of sorts. Splodyhead is impervious to specifcally plasma-based attacks, since his body generates plasma itself. He can even hover using his nose like a rocket, for short periods of time.
Weaknesses:
Splodyhead is particularly cunning, but much like any wild predator, if you 'play dead' instead of trying to escape his attention or fight back, you can fool him into letting his guard down. Also, if his head gets wet, the little strawberry monster's inner fire is cooled and he is rendered defenseless, unable to shoot plasma from his nose.
Personality:
619 is cunning, ruthless, and singleminded...but not unintelligent. He is a predator, a hunter first and foremost, but is frighteningly strategic in the way he engages prey. He knows what it means to be outnumbered, can instinctively pick out the best vantage points in a battle of any scenario, and with this intuition alone can outmatch many opponents at once. Once Lilo and Stitch opened his mind to more than just causing massive chaos and damage, his personality broadened a little. Splodyhead is as fiercely loyal as any dog of war to his family, would do anything for them, and has even learned a thing or two about soldierly politeness! Still, Splody's got a temper on him; he hates to be insulted and holds a grudge. Just because he knows how to pick his battles and maximize an advantage doesn't mean the hothead is cowardly. He's very brave, and quite diehard, rarely giving up and never admitting when he is beaten in any situation. Other than that, Splody's not the best at socializing one-on-one...he's still a hunter who works alone at heart, even though his cousins are beginning to get through to him.
Home Planet: Kokaua Town, Kauai, Hawaii, Planet Earth.
One True Place: Lighting tiki torches at luaus and bonfires, showing off his marksmanship in the practiced stage show at David's Luau.
Past:
619 was created in Jumba's last hundred Experiment series, after Jumba's failure with Experiment 600 and the four-eyed scientist giving up on his ultimate dream for a while. He was specifically designed because Hamsterviel grew tired of Jumba's wacky, random Experiment functions and made a comment about needing an Experiment that could be used in wars. After all, the idea was to sell the Experiments on the black market to the highest bidder, and a 'popcorn popper' and 'bagel-burner' weren't cutting it.
Out of this suggestion came 619. Sure, his one-and-only plasma abilities might have made more sense in the 500 elementals, but Splody didn't just shoot fireballs. He could generate and spew his own weapons-grade plasma. It was his instincts, mind, and control that Jumba perfected into a more focused killing machine. Instead of just blasting off fire willy-nilly like 502 (Yang), Splodyhead could calculate, aim more precisely and strategically dispatch enemies. He also had an unbelievable amount of control over the shape, size, and intensity of his burns. To cap it all off, the ultimate mayhem-causing predator had an instinct for the best vantage points, and tireless, dogged loyalty to the task of eliminating enemies. Because of this precise, hunter attitude, Splodyhead belonged in the doomsday 600's Series. Once Jumba made sure he'd succeeded in 619's function, he dehydrated the Experiment for the next three years in a pod and stored him away.
619 was activated on Earth on the shores of Niihau, the Forbidden Island after a seagull mistook him for a treat and dropped him in the water. He didn't care which planet he was on or how he'd gotten there; 619 only looked for something to start blasting. The little monster immediately ousted the bird from his nest, finding it the best, highest spot to begin his reign, or literally, rain of fiery terror on the deserted rock. No sooner had he staked out the area than two uninvited guests came to his new territory.
The first party was Gantu and 625, searching for the Experiment pod they'd lost to a seagull. The second was none other than Lilo, Stitch, Pleakly, and Jumba, ready to rescue another Experiment from Gantu.
Splodyhead had no recollection of 'cousins.' He had no instinctual loyalty to either 625 or 626. So he carried out his programming and, unreachable from his vantage point, blasted the two enemy groups until they were forced to take cover. This lasted well until nightfall. Finally, Gantu and Stitch managed to form a team, getting over their differences and creating a plan to capture 619 once Jumba remembered that the plasma-shooter would be useless if he got wet.
The only way to fool the hunter was to make him believe he'd finished his prey off. Lilo, Stitch, and the rest of the crew put on a marvelous show, pretending to be hit by 619's plasma blasts and destroyed. When the red critter scuttled down from his perch to survey his handiwork, they splashed him. Before he could escape, 626 and Gantu captured him. Gantu would have double-crossed the blue alien and captured 619 for Hamsterviel, but he was foiled at the last moment and 619 went home with the good guys.
Lilo named him 'Splodyhead', and showed him kindness, something foreign to the little wild-minded hothead. 626 treated him like a brother, another thing 619 didn't understand. Jumba was with them, which meant nothing when the creator was just another target to destroy on Niihau...but once Splody had nothing better to do than sit in his containment pod and observe, he noticed Jumba acting differently. Less obsessive, more relaxed. They showed him love, feeding him, keeping him dry, putting up with his temper and outrage at being defeated, and gave him a new task; lighting tiki torches for David's luau. At first, this was a little boring and it was hard to see the point, but Splodyhead quickly realized one major difference between this task and carrying out his function of mayhem---nobody cheered when they were blown to smithereens. But when he lit torches, and even, eventually, became part of David's show, the humans loved it. They clapped and smiled and some even came up after dinner to pet him and ask questions.
Lilo had found Splody his one true place, and 619 realized that life as a lonely hunter wasn't nearly as much fun or as warm as life with others. He started slowly getting to know his cousins at family events. Jumba was different than before, even fixing his nose when the Hawaiian sun threatened to overheat the plasma-generating creature. Splodyhead became so fiercely loyal to his new loved ones that over the next year he would help Lilo and Stitch rescue and rehabilitate his other cousins, and even defended them from danger when he could. It wasn't always easy. His fiery temper is still extremely hot, and it leads to more than one burst of immature grudge-holding from the singleminded monster. But Lilo and Stitch help him to work on it, even if Slushy remains the red trog's least favorite relative. Splody may have been captured by Leroy when Hamsterviel made a last-ditch effort at revenge, but he wouldn't give up, and fought alongside his family against the clone army until everything settled back down.
Now that 621 has arrived, Splodyhead is just as simply determined to keep Lilo and Stitch safe and help his Ohana as he ever was. If only it weren't so confusing and frustrating sometimes, hanging out with these sillier, less practical-minded beings. Why can't they all get the same thrill from a nice hunt as he does?
